Eric Alderman was the C.F.O. for Gateway Mission in Holland, MI for 9 years, responsible for all financial and business operations. Gateway Mission is one of the largest non-profits in Ottawa County. He is currently the Treasurer for Algoma Township and has been an instrumental leader to help bring For His Glory Theater into being.
Eric is one of the most effective and scary protagonist characters you will ever see. His bold commitment to characters is intense and creates fantastic contrast to shows as they highlight the significance of good and evil. His vast knowledge of history has been extremely beneficial to help actors understand the importance of understanding what is going on in certain shows and the significance of the events we are depicting. His insights help us better depict characters, scenes or sequences in shows to better help the audience capture a more realistic view of conflict, history or the storyline that drives home major themes of shows.
Eric often speaks of the importance of theater in his own life and the lives of his children. He never got the opportunity to perform as he was growing up and feels he missed the lessons in self confidence. He sees the major benefits that his kids have gotten through performing in Magnify Church shows. This was one of the biggest motivations that drove him with wanting to help form For His Glory Theater. Eric feels strongly about helping all people but especially young people grow in their confidence, communication skills, and discipline related to preparing a show.
