Magnify Church Worship Arts Director

Vicki Modert is the instrumental leader that was hired by Pastor Louie Konopka 35+ years ago to build a Worship Arts Ministry at Magnify Church (formerly Blythefield Hills Baptist Church).  Their incredible vision and passion for the arts spearheaded what now exists at Magnify Church and is probably one of the top 5 churches in America hosting productions at the level of excellence that rivals and often surpasses local community theaters.

Vicki’s impact on the worship arts community all over West Michigan and around the world is hard to quantify because of the ripple effect that occurs when lives change and people are empowered to use their gifts. There are countless stories of people who have been moved, convicted, changed, returned home, or began their journey with Christ through the powerful worship services and performing arts events that have been produced, directed, guided and/or written by Vicki Modert. Her steady, unshakable commitment to the ministry is truly remarkable.

Her deep faith, gracious demeanor and quiet strength reflects Christ to all and guides every team to never forget why we perform, sing, dance, direct lights, build sets, move scenes, sew costumes, work backstage, donate furniture, make-up actors, usher, play an instrument, technician sound boards, operate video equipment, prepare food, clean up the mess, or any of the other 100 jobs that get done. It is all for His glory and she sets that tone and has consistently for more than 35 years. Words cannot express our deep gratitude for her amazing kindness, encouragement, love, spirit and indelible legacy.

Our partnership with Magnify Church is under the leadership of Vicki Modert and we work closely with her to bring shows to the stage utilizing her many years of experience and theatrical expertise.   She is a mentor to us all and we are grateful for her help and leadership.
